Shipping Guide

1. Shipping Methods

SourceWithAI provides multiple scalable shipping tiers to balance speed and cost efficiency for varying order volumes, from sample shipments to full container loads.

a. Express Courier (Air)

Best for samples and small lightweight orders (under 21kg). Utilizing partners like DHL, FedEx, and UPS. Typical transit time: 3-7 business days globally.

b. Air Freight (DDP/DDU)

Ideal for medium shipments (21kg - 500kg). Faster than sea, cheaper than express courier. Typical transit time: 7-12 business days.

c. Sea Freight (LCL & FCL)

The most cost-effective solution for bulk inventory (>500kg or high volume). Available as Less than Container Load (LCL) or Full Container Load (FCL). Typical transit time: 25-45 business days depending on the routing.

2. Order Processing & Lead Times

Shipping transit times do not include manufacturing lead times. "Lead Time" refers to the production window required by the supplier before the goods are handed over to the logistics carrier.

Ready-to-Ship Items: Usually processed and dispatched within 3-5 business days after payment confirmation.

Custom Manufactured (OEM/ODM): Production lead times vary drastically (typically 15-45 days) depending on customization complexity, raw material availability, and factory scheduling. Your specific lead time will be contractually defined in your Purchase Order.

3. Global Fulfillment & Warehousing

SourceWithAI operates integrated fulfillment network hubs connecting Asian manufacturing centers directly with local distribution points in North America, Europe, and Australia.

We offer 3PL (Third Party Logistics) Integration allowing goods to be shipped directly from the factory floor to regional fulfillment centers (like Amazon FBA, Deliverr, or your private 3PL), fully labeled and prepped according to intake specifications.

4. Customs, Duties & Taxes

International shipping involves cross-border customs regulations. How these are handled depends on the Incoterms selected during checkout:

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)

The quoted shipping price includes ALL shipping costs, export/import customs clearance, duties, and taxes. The goods are delivered directly to your door with no hidden localized fees. This is the recommended and default option on SourceWithAI.

EXW / FOB / DDU

If utilizing traditional trade terms, you (the buyer) are fully responsible for managing import customs clearance, paying applicable local duties, tariffs, and Value Added Taxes (VAT) upon the goods entering your country.

5. Shipping Restrictions

Certain product categories require special logistics handling, certifications, or are entirely restricted from standard air/sea freight networks.

These include but are not limited to: Lithium Batteries (requires specific UN38.3 certification and DG shipping channels), Liquids & Powders, Magnetic Goods, and Medical Devices.

If your product falls into a sensitive category, SourceWithAI's logistics engine will automatically route it to a specialized forwarding partner, which may incur slight variations in standard transit times and costs.

6. Tracking & Insurance

Once your order is dispatched, a digital Bill of Lading (BoL) or tracking number will be immediately attached to your order dashboard. You can track physical transit progression natively within the platform.

Basic carrier liability is included standard. For high-value bulk shipments, we strongly advise opting into Comprehensive Freight Insurance during checkout, which protects against loss, catastrophic damage, or container-ship level force majeure events at ~0.3% of the commercial invoice value.

7. Returns & Lost Packages

In B2B manufacturing, traditional B2C "no-questions-asked" returns are generally inapplicable. If goods are damaged in transit or a package is declared officially lost by the carrier, SourceWithAI will mediate the insurance claim or carrier dispute on your behalf.

Report any transit damages within 5 days of delivery receipt with photographic evidence. For comprehensive protections regarding product defect (unrelated to transit), please refer to our Trade Assurance terms.
